Artist Profile

Betty Vakali

Greek architect and designer Betty Vakali has trained in Oxford School of architecture in the UK. As a self taught contemporary artist has a keen interest in several aspects of design, textures, forms and materials. The idea of bringing life into these experimental materials challenges her as an artist. She works with a variety of mediums and techniques, through an unconventional process. Her collection describes individually designed, sculptural jewel pieces, as expressive art - defined as wearable objects on the body.

In 2022, her work was presented in the "Artistar Jewels" exhibition during the MJW. She is also the winner of the " Artistar Jewels Network" Award , by "Sculpture to Wear Gallery" in NYC.
